Job summary

South Asia Construction Pte. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Welder to join our fabrication team in Singapore. You will prepare and weld steel structures, ensuring joints meet drawings and inspection standards.

Responsibilities include setting up tools, following SOPs and safety rules, reporting issues to supervisors, and maintaining equipment. The ideal candidate has 3G–6G welding proficiency and a valid GTAW 6G certificate. On-site work with safety commitment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in 3G, 4G, 5G & 6G welding techniques for steel structures.
• GTAW 6G – Schedule 80 Stainless Steel certificate is required.
• Ability to follow welding SOPs and interpret fabrication drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up welding tools, equipment, and steel materials for fabrication tasks
• Perform welding on steel structures, beams, columns, and metal plates according to drawings and specifications
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment by following standard welding procedures and company safety rules
• Report fabrication or alignment issues and assist in resolving them with supervisors and engineers
• Ensure high-quality welds that meet structural integrity and inspection standards
• Safely handle and maintain welding machines, gas cylinders, and cutting tools
• Keep the workplace tidy, organized, and free of hazards
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor, including assisting in steel assembly and fitting works
• Inspect and maintain welding equipment regularly to ensure safe operation
• Document any safety incidents or hazards observed during operations
• Gas cutting, PP welding, metal arc welding, and orbital welding
• Proficient in 3G, 4G, 5G & 6G welding techniques, especially for steel structure joints
• GTAW 6G – certificate is required
