Apple's CDN Solutions Engineer role sits at the intersection of software engineering and global delivery. You'll design, implement, and troubleshoot CDN solutions across multiple platforms, collaborating with core teams to keep latency low and availability high.
Based in Singapore, you’ll work with a seasoned team spanning Cupertino and Singapore, using logs, metrics, and tooling to drive reliable performance for Apple services and products.
Apple Media Products delivers content for some of Apple's most visible products — Apple TV+, Apple Music, the App Store, software updates, and more. The CDN Solutions team works across 6 CDN platforms (including Apple's own CDN) to onboard customers, configure properties, and keep things running at scale.
As a CDN Solutions Engineer, you'll work directly with engineering teams across Apple — marketing, software engineering, AI/ML, IT, and more — to design and implement CDN solutions tailored to their needs. When issues arise, you'll troubleshoot: pulling logs, analyzing metrics, running DNS and HTTP diagnostics, and working with customers to resolve latency and availability problems. You'll also identify and build tools that make the team's work faster, more consistent, and less manual — this is a role where you're expected to notice what's missing, not just execute what's assigned.
Every engagement brings a different system, a different set of challenges, and often a new technology to get up to speed on. When Apple launches something new, there's usually a CDN solution that needs to exist before it can go live — the work is rarely visible to the end user, but it's foundational to making both new and existing products work at scale. It's a role that keeps you close to what Apple is building broadly, not just your own corner of it.
The team itself is a tight, experienced group — most engineers have been working in the CDN space for over a decade. The team is self‑directed and runs lean on process; there's no backlog of pre‑scoped tickets waiting for you. What stays constant is the depth of expertise around you and the expectation that you'll bring your own. The team spans Cupertino and Singapore, operating as a single group across time zones — which means you're rarely far from someone who's seen the problem before.
