Job summary

Apple seeks an entry-level Quality Engineer to design and implement quality assurance processes for software in a distributed environment. You will work with software development and SRE teams to understand application behavior, security, and production environments, and to develop an automation roadmap and testing strategies.

Ideal candidates hold a Computer Science degree, 0–3 years of experience, and familiarity with TestNG/JMeter/Selenium, REST APIs, Unix/Linux, and both SQL and NoSQL

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of work experience in relevant fields.
• Demonstrated understanding of creating effective test procedures and test cases.
• Strong understanding of QE methodologies and SDLC best practices.
• Experience in test automation and test frameworks like TestNG, JMeter, Selenium, etc is a plus.
• Knowledge of Data Driven Testing or Behavioural Driven Development test frameworks.
• Solid grasp on REST API fundamentals, best practices and it's testing concepts.
• Skilled in Unix/Linux environments.
• Good understanding of database technologies including relational and noSQL solutions.
• Understanding of security concepts such as PKI, X.509, ASN.1, key exchange protocols, and authentication protocols.

Description

We are looking for a motivated and talented entry level Quality Engineer to design and implementation of quality assurance process, ensuring the delivery of high quality software products in the distributed environment. In this role, you will drive quality and quality-related development work in all team projects. You will work alongside the software development and SRE teams to acquire in-depth knowledge of how each application works in terms of business logic, security aspects, development environments, and production environments. You will design, implement and maintain automation roadmap for complex services, while also driving advancements in test strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent
• Min. 0-3 years of work experience in relevant fields
• Demonstrated understanding of creating effective test procedures and test cases
• Strong understanding of QE methodologies and SDLC best practices
• Experience in test automation and test frameworks like TestNG, JMeter, Selenium, etc is a plus
• Knowledge of Data Driven Testing or Behavioural Driven Development test frameworks
