Job summary

The Cat Vet in Singapore is seeking an experienced Vet Tech to assist vets, manage reception duties, run lab tests, and maintain a calm, cat-friendly clinic environment. You will support veterinarians during consultations, treatments, and surgeries, monitor anaesthesia, perform in-house lab tests, and assist with imaging to aid diagnosis.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of experience as a vet tech, vet nurse, or veterinary assistant.
• Strong English communication skills for client-facing interactions.
• Willingness to work weekends as part of a roster.

Responsibilities

• Manage the reception desk, bookings, and respond to phone and email queries to provide a welcoming first contact for clients.
• Assist veterinarians during consultations, treatments, and surgeries, including monitoring anaesthesia for patient safety.
• Perform in-house laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic imaging to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment.
• Prepare feline patients for procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout.
• Handle clinic administrative tasks including billing and stock management to maintain smooth clinic operations.
• Maintain a clean, calm, and cat-friendly clinic environment to reduce stress for patients and clients.
• Build warm, lasting relationships with clients and their cats to foster trust and ongoing care.
