Job summary

LUMINA DECOR PTE. LTD. on-site Carpentry Supervisor position to oversee daily carpentry works on construction sites in Singapore.

You will supervise and assign tasks to carpenters, read drawings, ensure quality, and coordinate with engineers and subcontractors to meet project timelines. The role requires strong leadership, ability to read drawings, safety awareness, and hands-on management of timber installations such as doors, frames, cabinets, and partitions.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma, or relevant qualification in Carpentry, Construction, or related field.
• Several years of experience in carpentry and construction works, preferably supervisory.
• Ability to read construction drawings and take accurate measurements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a team.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily carpentry activities on site.
• Assign tasks to carpenters and monitor workforce productivity.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and measurements.
• Ensure carpentry works are completed according to approved drawings and quality standards.
• Inspect workmanship and identify defects or areas requiring rectification.
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and other trades.
• Monitor materials, tools, and equipment required for carpentry works.
• Ensure proper installation of doors, frames, cabinets, furniture, partitions, ceilings, and other timber works as required.
• Monitor work progress and provide regular updates to the site management team.
• Ensure compliance with site safety rules, procedures, and regulations.
• Resolve day-to-day site issues and provide technical guidance to carpentry workers.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure tools and work areas are kept safe and organized.
