Qualifications

Job Description & Requirements

We are seeking a qualified Carpenter to cut, fabricate, and install wooden and other structures according to specifications, working in diverse settings to produce steady and functional infrastructure and products.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully understand project requirements
• Take accurate measurements and calculate the size and amount of materials needed
• Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials (e.g., fiberglass) according to measurements
• Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings using raw or pre-constructed materials
• Lay out floorings, roofings, or drywalls ensuring they are level and properly aligned
• Carve, assemble, and install furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other items at designated locations
• Inspect sites and conduct repairs or maintenance on carpentry structures
• Build scaffolding and other construction-related structures safely and securely

Required competencies and certifications

• Proven experience as a carpenter, demonstrated by hands-on work with carpentry materials
• Proficient use of electrical and manual tools and measurement instruments (e.g., powered saws, hammers, rulers)
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings accurately
• Commitment to following safety guidelines consistently during all tasks
• Good physical condition and endurance to perform physically demanding work
• Availability to work night shifts , Sundays, public holidays, and irregular hours as required by customer demands
