Job summary

CLMMS DESIGNS PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a qualified Carpenter to cut, fabricate and install wooden and other structures according to specifications.

You will read blueprints, measure materials, and build furniture, frames and building components for diverse sites. Typical duties include laying flooring, installing doors and staircases, assembling cabinets and shelves, and ensuring safety compliance on site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as carpenter.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Willingness to work night shifts, Sundays and public holidays.
• Physically fit for demanding onsite construction work.

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to grasp requirements fully.
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
• Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fibre glass) according to measurements.
• Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items.
• Lay out flooring, roofings or dry walls ensuring they are levelled and compatible.
• Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated.
• Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance.
• Build scaffolding and other construction structures.

• Read blueprints,drawings, and sketches to grasp requirements fully

Requirements and skills

• Proven experienceas carpenter
• Hands-onexperience in working with carpentry materials
• Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
• Proficient inusing electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws,hammers, rulers etc.)
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings
• Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
• Good physical condition and endurance
