Job description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and ethical Career Coach to design and deliver high-quality career planning and coaching programmes for job seekers and career changers. The successful candidate will bring genuine, hands-on programme delivery experience, hold recognised SWDA career coaching credentials, and be committed to person-centred, evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and facilitate Career Planning programmes and related career coaching sessions for individuals and groups.
  • Conduct one-on-one and/or group career coaching engagements grounded in participants' actual needs, goals, and readiness — not enrolment quotas.
  • Apply structured career coaching methodologies drawn from Career Advisory Programme (CAP), Career Facilitation Programme (CFP), and/or Career Supervision Programme (CSP) frameworks as relevant to the engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case notes, document participant outputs, and track programme outcomes to support evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
  • Uphold the ethical standards and codes of conduct set out under the PCDA/CDAS frameworks and comply with all SWDA marketing and advertising requirements in programme promotion and participant communications.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g. programme managers, employment facilitators, case managers) to ensure coordinated support for participants.
  • Stay current with labour market trends, industry skills demands, and career development best practices in Singapore.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  1. Programme Delivery Track Record

    • At least one (1) full year of genuine Career Planning programme delivery, with documented sessions conducted in every quarter of the preceding year (i.e. no gap quarters).
  2. Certification

    • Must hold the SWDA Certified Career Practitioner credential, with relevant hands-on career coaching experience in one or more of the following:
    • Career Advisory Programme (CAP)
    • Career Facilitation Programme (CFP)
    • Career Supervision Programme (CSP)
  3. Person-Centred Practice

    • Demonstrated ability to design coaching approaches around individual participant needs and evidence, rather than enrolment or sign-up targets.
  4. Evidence-Based Documentation

    • Proven experience maintaining case notes, capturing participant outputs, and documenting programme outcomes to support quality assurance and reporting.
  5. Ethical Conduct

    • Working knowledge of, and consistent adherence to, applicable PCDA/CDAS codes of ethics and SWDA marketing/advertising guidelines.
Preferred Attributes
  • Strong active listening, empathy, and rapport-building skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse participant profiles (e.g. mid-career switchers, fresh graduates, retrenched workers, mature workers).
  • Comfortable using case management systems or digital tools for documentation and reporting.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English (additional local languages a plus).
