Job summary

Wise Asia-Pacific PTE. LTD. is seeking a Card Fraud Prevention Analyst to protect Wise customers from fraud losses. You will analyse fraud patterns, develop prevention rules, and work with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to enhance detection capabilities and customer experience.

You will query large datasets, monitor KPI/OKR-aligned initiatives, and contribute to longer-term fraud prevention projects. The role requires strong SQL/Python skills and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written English skills.
• Strong attention to detail and initiative.
• Able to work independently while collaborating with others.
• Comfortable making data-based decisions and prioritising in a fast-moving environment.
• Hands-on experience with SQL or similar querying language and large datasets.
• Experience in fraud, FinCrime, risk analytics, or prevention strategies.

Responsibilities

• Analyse Card Fraud dispute trends and identify prevention opportunities.
• Develop, test, and monitor fraud prevention rules; validate rule scope and performance.
• Monitor rule performance and improve precision, recall, and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve customer experience during fraud declines.
• Support incidents with data and prevention recommendations.
• Communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
