National University Hospital (NUH) invites you to join the Cancer Registrar Intern for a 6-month full-time internship in Singapore. You will learn cancer data collection, coding, and registry operations to support cancer research and public health initiatives.

Under supervision, you will abstract case information from records, apply ICD‑O‑3 coding, and perform basic data quality checks while contributing to the NCIS registry and patient care improvement.

Qualifications

• Recently completed a degree in health information management, public health, life sciences, or related field.
• Coursework in anatomy, medical terminology, or health data management preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Abstract cancer registry information from records and reports under supervision.
• Learn to identify and extract demographic, diagnostic, treatment, and follow‑up data.
• Apply coding principles per ICD‑O‑3 and related classification systems.
• Maintain data quality and assist with data cleaning and standardisation.
