Job summary

FOOD SCIENTIST PTE. LTD. is seeking a Service Crew to deliver friendly, fast, and consistent customer service in a cafe setting. You will take orders, serve food and drinks, maintain cleanliness, and follow SOPs to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

The role requires good communication, the ability to work in a busy environment, and a willingness to learn POS systems. Flexible shifts, including weekends, may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service or F&B is a plus (not required).
• Strong communication and a friendly attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service.
• Take orders accurately in-person, dine-in/takeaway, and/or delivery platforms.
• Prepare drinks/food according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently.
• Handle customer requests politely; escalate issues to supervisors when needed.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations (tables, service counter, dining area).
• Support opening and closing duties (setup, cleaning, restocking, checklists).
• Restock consumables (cups, cutlery, napkins, condiments, etc.).
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Ensure compliance with cafe policies (cash handling, operational guidelines, waste management).
• Assist with basic back-of-house tasks when required (e.g., packing takeaways, labeling items, dish support).
• Work collaboratively with teammates to meet service targets during busy periods.
