Job summary

SWIFT SEARCH GLOBAL PTE. LTD. in Jurong, Singapore is seeking a C&S Site Engineer to supervise daily civil and structural construction activities for building projects.

C&S Site Engineer (Building Construction)

Job Overview

We are seeking C&S Site Engineers to support the supervision and coordination of daily civil and structural construction activities for building projects.

The successful candidates will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, RE/RTO and other stakeholders to ensure structural works are carried out safely, according to approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards and construction schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Coordination

• Supervise daily civil and structural construction activities, including reinforcement, formwork, concreting and precast works.
• Ensure site works are carried out according to approved construction drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinate work sequencing and site activities among subcontractors and project teams.
• Monitor daily site productivity and construction progress against project schedules.
• Identify and assist in resolving technical and site-related issues.
• Coordinate manpower, materials and site resources to support construction activities.

Inspection & Quality

• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.
• Coordinate and attend site inspections with RE/RTO, consultants and other relevant project stakeholders.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants and Qualified Persons (QPs) where required.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
• Verify construction materials delivered to site and monitor their appropriate usage.
• Follow up on inspection findings and rectification works where required.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare daily site reports and maintain accurate records of construction activities.
• Assist with progress reporting and relevant project documentation.
• Maintain records relating to inspections, site activities and construction progress.

Workplace Safety & Health

• Support the implementation of applicable Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements and project safety procedures.
• Coordinate with relevant site personnel to promote safe work practices.
• Identify and elevate site safety concerns through the appropriate project channels.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in civil and structural works within the building construction industry.
• Experience in HDB or similar large-scale residential construction projects will be an advantage.
• Familiar with reinforcement, formwork, concreting, precast works and other structural construction activities.
• Able to read and interpret structural and construction drawings.
• Good understanding of site coordination, inspection and construction processes.
• Familiarity with HDB project requirements and construction processes will be advantageous.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work effectively with RE/RTO, consultants, subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Able to manage site priorities and work within project schedules.
