Job summary

Penta-Ocean Construction Co., Ltd. seeks a Project Civil Engineer for the Loyang site office.

You will assist the Project Manager in daily execution, liaise with the Professional Engineer on temporary works, and coordinate site activities with consultants and subcontractors to keep the project on track. Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in the daily execution of work

• Ensure works align with quality and safety plans and master programme
• Implement controls to ensure safe, timely works per the programme
• Review construction drawings and highlight discrepancies
• Maintain quality records and monitor progress against turnover and cost targets
• Ensure material submission, approval, ordering and delivery are on schedule

Education

Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager in the daily execution of work
• Liaise with Professional Engineer on the Temporary works
• Liaise with consultants (QPS) for technical issues and coordinate the site activities with subcontractors
• Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the project quality & safety plan, control and coordinate site works with the operations team as well as contractors
• Establish and implement controls to ensure that works are carried out safely according to the works programme and produce short term works plans
• Check construction drawings and highlight discrepancies
• Ensure that all corrective actions or preventive actions is implemented effectively, and quality records are properly maintained
• Monitor and control progress to make sure that turnover and cost is in line with master construction program
• Ensure material submission & approval, ordering and delivery are according to agreed schedules

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years’ experience in construction projects
• Conversant with local codes and authority submission procedures
• Excellent interpersonal, good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• This role is based at the project site office in Loyang
