Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer is seeking a dynamic BD Manager to join our Singapore office, partnering with regional and global Business Development teams. You will drive cross-practice, sector-focused initiatives and empower partners with strategic planning, profile-raising, and market growth strategies.

You'll lead pitches, manage high-impact BD initiatives, and contribute to client development, CRM programmes, and thought leadership campaigns to enhance the firm’s presence across Singapore

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or postgraduate degree required.
• Minimum six years of relevant professional experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively across BD and other departments.
• Confidence in engaging with partners and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with ability to prioritise under pressure.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a dynamic BD Manager to join our Singapore office and collaborate closely with our regional and global Business Development teams.

In this role, you’ll support our Disputes and Finance practices by driving cross-practice, sector-focused initiatives and empowering partners with strategic planning, profile-raising, and market growth strategies.

You’ll lead pitches and proposals, manage high-impact BD initiatives, and contribute to client development, CRM programmes, and thought leadership campaigns. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in enhancing the firm’s presence and reputation across Singapore and Southeast Asia.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Appropriate undergraduate/postgraduate degree qualification(s)
• At least six years’ relevant professional experience
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a broader team, both within BD and with other departments
• Confidence in dealing with partners and senior stakeholders
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to prioritise and manage workload under pressure
• High degree of attention to detail
• Use AI tools confidently, responsibly and effectively
• Proven ability to establish professional credibility
• Excellent service delivery skills and high level of responsiveness
