Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated SDLC/ITIL understanding desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance and production support for systems, including after-hours during peak periods.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Business and Systems Analyst to join our project team and play a key role in maintaining system stability while driving continuous improvement through enhancements. You'll work closely with clients, development teams, and cross-functional partners to deliver quality solutions that meet business needs.

Job Description

Operations & Production Support

• Provide maintenance and production support for assigned systems, including after-office hours support during peak periods
• Manage and track operational and production tasks to ensure timely delivery
• Respond to user queries and change requests promptly and professionally
• Collaborate with local, offshore, and facility management teams to resolve issues
• Perform system patches and upgrades as required
• Analyse, classify, and perform impact assessments on issues, queries and user requests
• Lead root cause investigations and implement workarounds or fixes
• Track all requests and issues through to closure, ensuring adherence to SLAs
• Validate that fixes are thoroughly tested before production rollout
• Maintain accurate configuration management records(hardware, software, documentation, etc)
• Prepare documentation and support other project activities as needed

Enhancement & Development Activities

• Work with clients, team members, and developers throughout the full enhancement lifecycle: requirement gathering, development, SIT, UAT preparation and support, implementation, and documentation
• Identify and analyse stakeholders; prepare and lead requirement gathering sessions
• Gather, analyse, and formalise user business processes and requirements
• Document functional and non-functional specifications
• Create screen mockups and prototypes to validate requirements and scope
• Analyse integration points between modules and external systems
• Maintain requirement traceability; identify out-of-scope items and escalat[e] scope creep
• Review, identify, and resolve conflicting, incomplete, or inaccurate requirements
• Seek timely stakeholder approval and participate in scope negotiations
• Develop technical design specifications and translate them into process/program specifications
• Prepare training materials, system manuals, and user guides
• Provide post-implementation support to ensure smooth adoption

Experience & Knowledge

• Proven experience as a Business and Systems Analyst in a similar capacity
• Strong understanding of SDLC and ITIL frameworks
• Basic knowledge of Java and Unix commands
• Strong proficiency in SQL
• Familiarity with interfaces and batch jobs
