Job summary

ANCHOR GLOBAL CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Business Analyst to join our project team to maintain system stability while driving continuous improvement. You will work with clients, development teams, and cross-functional partners to deliver solutions that meet business needs.

Responsibilities span operations support, enhancement activities, and ensuring quality through testing and documentation. The role requires strong communication, analytical thinking, and a proactive, flexible mindset.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a similar capacity.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and ITIL frameworks.
• Basic knowledge of Java and Unix commands; Candidates with good Java knowledge will have an added advantage.
• Strong proficiency in SQL.
• Familiarity with interfaces and batch jobs.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance and production support for assigned systems, including after-office hours support during peak periods.
• Manage and track operational and production tasks to ensure timely delivery.
• Respond to user queries and change requests promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with local, offshore, and facility management teams to resolve issues.
• Perform system patches and upgrades as required.
• Analyse, classify, and perform impact assessments on issues, queries and user requests.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement workarounds or fixes.
• Track all requests and issues through to closure, ensuring adherence to SLAs.
• Validate that fixes are thoroughly tested before production rollout.
• Maintain accurate configuration management records (hardware, software, documentation, etc)
• Prepare documentation and support other project activities as needed.
• Work with clients, team members, and developers throughout the full enhancement lifecycle: requirement gathering, development, SIT, UAT preparation and support, implementation, and documentation.
• Identify and analyse stakeholders; prepare and lead requirement gathering sessions.
• Gather, analyse, and formalise user business processes and requirements.
• Document functional and non-functional specifications.
• Create screen mockups and prototypes to validate requirements and scope.
• Analyse integration points between modules and external systems.
• Maintain requirement traceability; identify out-of-scope items and escalates scope creep.
• Review, identify, and resolve conflicting, incomplete, or inaccurate requirements.
• Seek timely stakeholder approval and participate in scope negotiations.
• Develop technical design specifications and translate them into process/program specifications.
• Prepare training materials, system manuals, and user guides.
• Provide post-implementation support to ensure smooth adoption.
