Achieve Group is seeking a Bunker Trader to join our Singapore team and drive growth in our bunker trading business. The role requires developing customer and supplier relationships, sourcing competitive prices and managing end-to-end trading processes.

You will monitor market movements, identify opportunities and coordinate with operations, credit and finance to ensure smooth execution. A relevant background in shipping or marine fuels is preferred.

Formación

• 2–3 years of bunker trading experience or related commercial shipping role.
• Strong commercial acumen with pricing and negotiation.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with numerical ability.
• Diploma/degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies, Business, Finance, Economics or related is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Execute physical bunker trading across assigned customers and markets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with shipowners, operators, charterers, brokers and suppliers.
• Source competitive bunker prices and negotiate terms with suppliers and customers.
• Monitor bunker prices, market movements, freight dynamics and supply-demand developments.
• Identify and pursue new trading opportunities to grow networks.
• Manage end-to-end trading process from enquiry to delivery and settlement.
• Coordinate with operations, credit, finance and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitor trading positions, margins, credit exposure and counterparty risks.
• Maintain records of trades, pricing and activity.
• Stay abreast of marine fuel and shipping market developments and impact.

Our client is an established international trading and commodities business with a growing presence in the marine fuel sector. They are looking for a Bunker Trader to join their Singapore team and contribute to the development of their bunker trading business.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute physical bunker trading activities across assigned customers and markets
• Develop and maintain relationships with shipowners, operators, charterers, brokers and suppliers
• Source competitive bunker prices and negotiate commercial terms with suppliers and customers
• Monitor bunker prices, market movements, freight dynamics and relevant supply-demand developments
• Identify and pursue new trading opportunities to grow the customer and supplier network
• Manage the end-to-end trading process, from enquiry and quotation through to delivery and settlement
• Coordinate closely with operations, credit, finance and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution
• Monitor trading positions, margins, credit exposure and counterparty risks
• Maintain accurate records of trades, pricing and customer activity
• Stay abreast of developments in the marine fuel and shipping markets and assess their potential commercial impact

Requirements

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in bunker trading, marine fuel trading, physical commodities trading, shipbroking or a related commercial shipping role
• Good understanding of the bunker / marine fuel market and shipping industry
• Strong commercial acumen with an interest in pricing, negotiation and market dynamics
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Analytical and detail-oriented, with good numerical ability
• Proactive, entrepreneurial and willing to take ownership of trading activities
• Diploma/degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies, Business, Finance, Economics or a related discipline would be advantageous
