Job summary

KENOIL MARINE SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking an Operation Cargo Officer to coordinate cargo operations for bunkering vessels in Singapore. You will train with a senior officer and, once certified, manage onboard custody transfers and loading/discharging instructions.

Responsibilities include maintaining cargo inventory, verifying quantity/quality, and ensuring compliance with SS600, SS524, TR48 and regulatory requirements while onboard. Shift work and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in seafaring or bunkering is an advantage.
• Familiarity with SS600, SS524, TR48, and other maritime/bunkering regulatory requirements.
• COC or marine licenses preferred.
• Strong English communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cargo operations to ensure safe, efficient, and timely loading and unloading of vessels.
• Undergo training with a senior officer until certified to perform cargo operations on a bunker tanker in Singapore.
• After certification, execute onboard cargo custody transfers and loading/discharging instructions from the Operations Executive.
• Maintain onboard cargo inventory and report discrepancies to the Operations Executive.
• Ensure compliance with SS600, SS524, TR48, and statutory requirements while onboard.
• Disseminate loading and delivery nomination information to the Master and Chief Officer upon instructions from the Operations Executive.
• Verify bunker supplies meet the correct quantity and quality as per nominations.
• Update the office with copies of delivered and loaded documents promptly on return to shore.
• Ensure that all representative sealed samples for loading and delivery are collected per SS 600 sampling requirements.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures onboard the barge.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned.
