Job summary

HOUSE + PTE. LTD. is seeking staff for a busy buffet-style kitchen in Singapore. You will assist with daily kitchen operations, wash and sanitize dishes, and support chefs with food preparation in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires physical endurance, the ability to stand long hours, and willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and public holidays. WSQ Food Safety Level 1 certification is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must possess a WSQ Food Safety Level 1 Certificate (Food Hygiene Certificate).
• Able to perform both food preparation (including cutting and chopping ingredients) and dishwashing duties.
• Able to work in a fast-paced buffet restaurant environment.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
• Able to work 12-hour shifts, including 2 hours of break time (10 actual working hours).
• Must be able to work on weekends and public holidays.
• Able to follow food hygiene, safety, and kitchen operating standards.
• Previous kitchen or dishwashing experience is an advantage.
• Responsible, hardworking, and able to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily kitchen operations in a buffet-style restaurant.
• Wash and clean dishes, plates, bowls, cutlery, trays, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils.
• Operate dishwashing equipment and ensure all items are properly cleaned and sanitised.
• Assist chefs with food preparation, including washing, cutting, chopping, and preparing ingredients.
• Replenish clean plates, bowls, cutlery, and other kitchen supplies during buffet service.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, dishwashing area, equipment, and storage areas.
• Collect, sort, and dispose of food waste and rubbish properly.
• Assist with receiving, organising, and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
