Job summary

beIN MEDIA GROUP in Singapore seeks an experienced Broadcast-IT Applications Specialist to optimize and govern the core business application ecosystem across APAC. You will bridge Media Operations, Content, Scheduling and Finance with technology teams, drive workflow automation, and oversee BMS/MAM and enterprise apps.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Computer Studies, BIS, Broadcast Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years’ experience as Applications Specialist, Business Systems Analyst or IT BA with system integration and automation focus.
• Experience supporting full application lifecycle: requirements, process mapping, data modelling, testing, UAT, implementation, and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with data formats (CSV/XML/JSON), API integrations, SQL, and cloud ecosystems (AWS) preferred.

Job description

The Broadcast-IT Applications Specialist is responsible for the optimization, alignment, and functional oversight and continuous improvement of the core business application ecosystem across the beIN Asia Pacific remit. This role acts as a critical bridge between business units (including Media Operations, Content, Scheduling, and Finance) and technology teams.

Reporting directly to the Lead, Broadcast-IT, the position centralizes the day-to-day management, workflow analysis, and integration of both media-specific systems (such as the Broadcast Management System and Media Asset Management) and core enterprise applications. The Broadcast-IT Applications Specialist will play a key role in eliminating operational bottlenecks, mapping cross-functional workflows, and driving system efficiency to support the growth of linear channels and OTT services.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document comprehensive business requirements and system specifications from various departments across the APAC region.
• Map and optimize end-to-end workflows, focusing on driving automation and seamless data integration between broadcast systems (BMS/MAM) and corporate enterprise platforms
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external software vendors to manage application upgrade cycles, track feature deployment roadmaps, and resolve complex application issues.
• Design and execute comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts, ensuring new software features and system integrations meet business requirements prior to deployment.
• Coordinate and deliver structured training initiatives and clear standard operating procedures (SOPs) to facilitate high user adoption among non-technical media and business staff.
• Maintain a centralized repository of business blueprints, system logic, data definitions, and workflow diagrams to build robust institutional knowledge.
• Identify opportunities for software cost optimization, ensuring system capabilities are fully utilized while minimizing redundant platforms and manual workarounds.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Computer Studies, Business Information Systems, Broadcast Engineering, or a related analytical field.
• Minimum of 5 years cumulative experience as an Applications Specialist, Business Systems Analyst or IT Business Analyst, with a strong track record in system integration, workflow design, and process automation across both media operations and corporate enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, with experience supporting the full application lifecycle, including requirements analysis, process mapping, data modelling, solution design, testing and UAT, implementation and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with data exchange formats (CSV/XML/JSON), API integrations, SQL scripting, and cloud ecosystems (AWS) is highly advantageous.
• Prior experience in the broadcast, media, OTT, or VOD industry is strongly preferred, with an understanding of sports/entertainment workflows.
• Detail-oriented individual with exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, capable of managing shifting priorities across multiple projects.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical logic into clear business terminology.
