Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) per drawings and specs.
• Develop and monitor production planning schedules to meet delivery timelines.
• Monitor production progress and adjust plans for urgent orders or disruptions.
• Coordinate with Storekeeper to control inventory and ensure material availability.
• Review material withdrawal records for accuracy and traceability.
• Coordinate with purchasing to monitor procurement and PO timelines; obtain supplier ETAs.
• Generate Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for materials and tooling.
• Liaise with production to address operational issues and maintain flow.
• Monitor in-house inventory and issue additional stock as needed for production.

Job description

Key Responsibilities & Job Scope

• Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) in accordance with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements.
• Develop and monitor production planning schedules to ensure customer delivery timelines and shipment commitments are met.
• Monitor production progress and adjust planning schedules to accommodate urgent orders or unexpected disruptions.
• Work closely with the Storekeeper to monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring adequate material availability for production while minimizing excess stock.
• Review and verify material withdrawal records to ensure accuracy, traceability, and proper inventory control.
• Coordinate closely with the purchasing team to monitor material procurement and tooling delivery schedules, ensure Purchase Orders (PO) are issued in a timely manner, and obtain suppliers’ Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA).
• Generate Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for materials, components, and tooling in a timely manner to support production requirements.
• Liaise closely with the production team to address operational issues and ensure smooth production flow in accordance with customer specifications.
• Monitor in-house material inventory and proactively issue additional stock to production, including allocating in-house manufactured items when production faces job shortages, to maintain uninterrupted workflow.
• Coordinate with the sales team on customer delivery arrangements, prepare Delivery Orders (DO), and ensure shipments are dispatched to the correct delivery addresses in a timely manner.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in BOM management, design support, or manufacturing engineering.
• Software Proficiency: Have hands-on experience navigating and managing data within in-house Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms.
• Communication: Able to communicate with Chinese worker.
• Technical Skills:
  • Able to prepare detailed 2D CAD drawings.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, and technical part specifications.
