Job summary

United Surveyors Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a vessel helmsman to navigate and operate the vessel safely, assuming full responsibility for the craft under charge. The role requires maintaining the vessel, ensuring it remains in good condition, and keeping all government certifications up to date.

You will steer under surveyors' direction, follow designated routes, and report issues promptly to Management and Clients.

Qualifications

• Valid MPA Helmsman/Steersman (Port Limit) licence or equivalent certification.
• Pass an approved eyesight test.
• Preferably with prior experience operating harbour or coastal vessels.
• Minimum Secondary 2 education.
• Comfortable and willing to work outdoors.

• Maintain, inspect, and upkeep the vessel to ensure it remains in good working condition at all times.
• Ensure all government-issued certifications and documents are valid and up to date.

• Take instructions from Management and Clients, and promptly report any issues or operational concerns to the office.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management in support of daily operations.
