Job summary

JOHNSON CONTROLS (S) PTE. LTD. is seeking an on-site Project Leader for BMS projects in Singapore. You will plan, execute, and complete assigned projects, coordinating with customers and subcontractors to meet schedules and budgets.

You will define scope and risk, oversee safety and QA/QC standards, and work with Sales for tender bids. Expect interaction with clients and suppliers, and occasional after-hours work in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Degree with minimum 1 years relevant working experience in BMS project.
• Excel, Word and Project essential.
• Require interaction with clients, consultants and sub-contractors, etc.
• Need to work odd hours as and when required, whenever the work need to be done on time.
• Willingness to learn new things.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site project leader to plan, execute, and complete assigned projects.
• Coordinate communication with customer during all project phases and with subcontractors.
• Define scope, budget and schedule for projects; monitor progress and risks.
• Ensure and monitor compliance to codes, QA/QC policies and specifications.
• Supervise subcontractors and site work; manage material deliveries and drawings submission.
• Hand over project to customer and provide first-year maintenance warranty support.

Job description

What you will do:

Acts as on-site project leader to plan, execute, and complete assigned projects. Delegates tasks to execute and fully complete assigned projects. Coordinates communication with customer during all phases of the project. Coordinates the work of subcontractors.

How you will do it:

• Define scope, budget and schedule for projects.
• Device project implementation methodology.
• Plan and oversee work schedule for the multiple small to medium scale project under responsibility, in coordination with supervisor.
• Identify potential project risks and recommend appropriate resolutions.
• Establish effective communication with customer.
• Track and update progress, task and project health to supervisors.
• Ensure and monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
• Perform regular quality audit for all the suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Identify and secure variation order.
• Cost control - Track, monitor and ensure delivery of financial commitment as per KPI.
• Managing reports and documents.
• Work closely with Sales team for tender bidding.
• Supervision of sub-contractors' work at site.
• Schedule purchase and deliveries of all materials for the project in a timely manner.
• Able to work with drawings and submission as per project requirement.
• Assign task to, and supervise Assistant Project Engineer, Technician, if any.
• System applications, drafting, data base generation and commissioning.
• Follow-up on payment from customers and verify payment to our suppliers.
• Train customer and provide first year maintenance warranty schedule visit.
• Hand over project to customer and later to service team.
• And other related works as assigned by your superior.
