Job summary

Lonza in Tuas, Singapore, is seeking a Biotechnologist for Mammalian Manufacturing to contribute to production of life‑saving therapeutic proteins in a cGMP environment. You will perform cell culture, purification, and process control activities, ensuring product quality while maintaining rigorous documentation.

You will work in a cross-functional team, apply aseptic techniques, and support equipment preparation and CIP.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge or exposure to biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes is advantageous.
• Experience in manufacturing, laboratory, or cleanroom environments preferred.
• Familiarity with cGMP practices and regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; able to follow standardized procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform cGMP biomanufacturing activities including equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Execute mammalian cell culture and purification processes including bioreactor operations, chromatography, and filtration.
• Monitor process parameters such as pH, DO, CO2/O2, and cell performance.
• Operate and maintain process control systems such as UNICORN and DeltaV with accurate batch documentation.
• Apply aseptic techniques and maintain cleanroom standards through sanitization and 6S housekeeping.
• Prepare buffers, media, and customer-specific solutions while supporting equipment preparation and CIP activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing operations.
