Job summary

Scien Tec Consulting Pte. Ltd. is recruiting for an Upstream/Downstream Bioprocess Operator in Singapore.

The role involves operating bioreactors (10L–100L), downstream equipment, and in-process testing to ensure production targets and product quality are consistently met. The candidate should have a Diploma or equivalent in Food Science/Technology or related fields, with 5+ years in food manufacturing or fermentation and familiarity with GMP/GDP and ISO/FB certifications.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Food Science/Technology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in food manufacturing or a related field; fermentation experience is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of GMP and GDP.
• Familiarity with ISO22000, FSSC22000, or BRC certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate both upstream and downstream production processes including fermentation, centrifugation, filtration, and chromatography.
• Perform in-process testing and ensure quality targets are met according to GMP/GDP standards.
• Maintain documentation such as Batch Manufacturing Records and maintenance/calibration records.
• Monitor and control processes via on-site panels and SCADA/Controls systems; report issues and liaise with vendors.
