Job summary

The National Cancer Centre Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to commission, maintain and repair diagnostic and therapeutic biomedical equipment and assist in implementing the department’s equipment management services. You will also support ad-hoc projects.

Responsibilities include commissioning, troubleshooting, managing in-house maintenance data, liaising with clinicians and vendors, and promoting safe use of equipment through collaboration and documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biomedical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Well informed of new biomedical equipment technology.
• Initiative to carry out projects and ensure proper maintenance.
• Dependable, self-motivated and able to collaborate with vendors and operators.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning biomedical equipment and systems to verify safety and performance against manufacturer specifications.
• Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions to ensure equipment meets specifications.
• Identify collate schedule and manage in-house maintenance reports and data analytics.
• Identify trends, predictive outcomes and implement corrective action for safety and risk management.
• Prepare, submit, and present investigation reports to management.
• Liaise with stakeholders to evaluate bids, negotiate, and recommend purchases.
• Facilitate inter-institution and inter-department collaborations and promote teamwork.
• Plan and execute project management and provide technical assistance to end-users.
• Manage cybersecurity considerations for medical devices and risk management.
