Job summary

Ng Teng Fong General Hospital is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to commission new medical equipment and perform routine safety checks and preventive maintenance in a hospital setting.

The role requires a Diploma in Biomedical / Electronics or equivalent Engineering with around two years of relevant experience; healthcare setting exposure is advantageous. You will also manage records, supervise contractors, and handle inventory and budgeting tasks.

Qualifications

• Diploma required in Biomedical / Electronics or equivalent Engineering.
• 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Healthcare setting experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning new medical equipment
• Perform routine safety checks and preventive maintenance
• Update and maintain proper equipment records
• Assist in the investigation for medical equipment related incidents and put up report
• Assess medical equipment put up for condemnation by end-users
• Supervise and co-ordinate work performed by external contractors
• Budget, purchase and maintain inventory of spare parts and batteries
• Perform other tasks and roles as and when assigned
