Job summary

Qualifications

• Areas of study in Ecology, Conservation Biology, Zoology or related field is preferred.
• A meticulous, resourceful and self-driven team player who is able to multi-task to meet deadlines.
• Able to work extensively and independently in the field.
• Strong organisation, communications, writing and analytical skills.
• Prior work or research experience in ecology and conservation.
• Experience in animal handling and possession of a Class 3 driving license will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Implement recovery programmes for a variety of fauna species on the programme.
• Conduct literature reviews, fieldwork in diverse habitats, during day and night hours.
• Perform data analysis and write reports.
• Support administration of biodiversity science and technology initiatives under the National Biodiversity Centre.
