Job summary

Sunray Woodcraft Construction Pte Ltd is seeking a BIM Modeller to create BIM content and extract production documents for BIM assisted projects. Modelers translate consultants' drawings into 3D models and support the BIM Coordinator.

You will develop models for fabrication and installation, coordinate with trades, and prepare deliverables. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD and a degree in Architecture or Engineering are expected, with 1–3 years of BIM experience.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Architecture or Engineering as base qualification.
• Certificate from BCA BIM modelling course or equivalent.
• 1–3 years professional related experience in building construction and project execution.
• Minimum 1–3 years of BIM Modelling experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years in AutoCAD.
• Proficient in BIM software like Revit and AutoCAD.
• Understanding of building systems, construction processes and industry standards.
• Analytical skills to visualise and work on a 3D environment.
• Ability to collaborate well with others and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deliverable objectives in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Ensures BIM models are generated proficiently and professionally fit for fabrication and installation (per project basis).
• Ensures models developed are fit for federated integration and coordination.
• Assists BIM Coordinator in converting project information from 2D to 3D models so that BIM models meet the minimum standard of detail and development.
• Assists BIM Coordinator to liaise with relevant trade suppliers to obtain relevant information for BIM development of design and documentation.
• Ensures that preliminary design models are modelled in Project pursuits as and when required.
• Produces BIM model deliverables for design, documentation and fabrication purpose.
• Ensures that BIM models are delivered with professionalism (Quality, due diligence and timeliness).
• Prepares models for Clash Detection co-ordination.
• Identifies issues for BIM Coordinator where discrepancies occur during design production.
• Ensures BIM models are modelled with the correct BIM parameters and attributes for BIM assisted quantification and 4D simulation.

About the Role

The BIM Modeller's overall responsibility is to create BIM content and extracting production documents for the purpose of delivering a BIM assisted project. Modelers must possess visual and cognitive skills to sense the 3D environment and develop and document BIM models from consultants' drawings (be it 2D or 3D). They assist BIM Coordinator in creating BIM models for projects and on occasions may be tasked to assist in building basic BIM libraries.

About You
