This assignment anchors the engineering and delivery phase of a complex industrial process and infrastructure deployment. The project demands millimetre-accurate spatial coordination between massive structural steelwork, intricate high-spec piping networks, complex mechanical equipment packages, and safety-critical access systems. High-density layouts and tight constructability envelopes mean there is zero tolerance for interface clashes or drawing inaccuracies.

Operating as a core member of our specialist drafting unit, you will own the end-to-end extraction and maintenance of 3D intelligent plant models and downstream fabrication packages. Your scope connects front-end P&IDs and design schematics directly to site erection — ensuring that Material Take-Offs (MTO), General Arrangements (GA), isometric spools, and pipe supports are fully coordinated, verified, and ready for immediate shop fabrication and field installation.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

3D Intelligent Modeling: Develop, detail, and maintain advanced 3D models for process piping, mechanical equipment, and structural steelwork utilizing AutoCAD Plant 3D, Autodesk Revit 2024, and AutoCAD in strict adherence to project BIM standards.

Comprehensive Drawing Production: Extract and generate precision 2D engineering deliverables, including General Arrangement (GA) drawings, piping isometrics, axonometrics, equipment layouts, and detailed structural interfaces.

Pipe Support Engineering Coordination: Model, detail, and catalog comprehensive pipe support packages for shop fabrication, field installation, and on-site engineering adjustments.

Clash Detection & Multi-Discipline Coordination: Conduct structured clash detection runs in Autodesk Navisworks Manage; chair technical resolutions and resolve spatial interfaces with civil, structural, and electrical counterparts.

Material Reconciliation & Database Management: Extract and audit live Material Take-Off (MTO) reports and Bills of Materials (BOM); continuously maintain engineering databases (line lists, valve schedules, tie-in registers) against approved P&IDs.

Design Revision & Red-Line Integration: Rapidly absorb and execute design changes, client comments, vendor equipment updates, and site red-line markups while enforcing strict revision controls.

Site & Handover Documentation: Prepare, track, and close out technical queries, Design Modification Instructions (DMI), and Requests for Information (RFI) to maintain unhindered field construction progress.

Advanced BIM & As-Built Lifecycle: Maintain and enrich BIM deliverables supporting 4D/5D/6D information modeling requirements, concluding with verified, clash-free as-built models and records at plant commissioning.

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential Software Proficiency: Expert-level command of Autodesk Revit 2024, Autodesk Navisworks Manage / Freedom, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and standard AutoCAD.

Technical Track Record: Proven background as a 3D Piping / Mechanical Drafter or BIM Modeler within heavy industrial, power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical, or critical infrastructure EPC environments.

Drawings & Piping Acumen: Deep practical understanding of piping specifications, ASME/BS/EN standards, valve configurations, isometric extraction routines, and pipe support detailing.

Interface Resolution Skills: Demonstrated competence using Navisworks to chair or participate in multidisciplinary clash detection reviews, model audits, and interface resolution workflows.

Education & Certifications: Relevant technical qualification (Diploma, HND, Degree in Mechanical/Piping/Civil Engineering, or certified apprenticeship) backed by verifiable project track records.

Desirable / Advantageous: Prior experience working under formal BIM Execution Plans (BEP), exposure to 4D construction sequencing, and experience handling live site red-lines during installation and commissioning phases.

Package, Location & Mobilisation Terms

Mobilisation Schedule: Initial cohort of 03 Drafting Personnel deploying for an immediate 8-month tenure; 02 specialists will transition into an extended 4-month scope for final modifications and as-built closeout.

Remuneration: Highly competitive, premium day rates tailored to experience and tool mastery (Outside IR35 / negotiable based on technical depth).

Working Structure: Standard 5-day professional engineering office rotation with coordinated site-interface visits as required by project milestones.
