Job summary

GCYCLE in Singapore is seeking a motivated Bicycle Mechanic / Sales to join our growing bicycle retail team. The role blends servicing with customer-facing sales and product recommendations, requiring passion for cycling and a willingness to learn. You will assemble, service, and repair bicycles, assist customers, demonstrate bikes, prepare quotations, and handle online inquiries.

A friendly, hands-on attitude and teamwork are essential to succeed. Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform bicycle assembly, servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot bicycle mechanical issues.
• Install and adjust components such as brakes, derailleurs, chains, cassettes, cranksets and handlebars.
• Carry out gear indexing, brake adjustment and general tuning.
• Ensure bicycles are properly inspected and safe before handover.
• Maintain a clean and organised workshop.
• Welcome customers and understand their cycling needs.
• Recommend suitable bicycles, components and accessories.
• Explain product features, specifications and differences clearly.
• Conduct bicycle demonstrations and test rides.
• Prepare quotations and process sales.
• Follow up with customers and provide good after-sales service.
• Assist with online enquiries through platforms such as WhatsApp and social media.
• Assist with receiving, checking and organising inventory.
• Support shop operations and product displays.
• Assist with bicycle assembly for new stock.
• Perform other reasonable duties related to retail and workshop operations.

Key Responsibilities

Bicycle Servicing & Repairs

• Perform bicycle assembly, servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Diagnose and troubleshoot bicycle mechanical issues

Requirements

• Previous bicycle mechanic or retail experience is an advantage
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Responsible, hardworking and willing to learn
• Comfortable handling bicycles and workshop tools
• Able to work weekends and public holidays when required

Salary

Salary $2,000 – $3,000+ per month, depending on experience and mechanical skills, plus incentives/commission.
