Job summary

OCTOPUS DISTRIBUTION NETWORKS PTE. LTD. seeks a Beer Promoter to work across Singapore coffee shops in the late afternoon shift. You will engage customers, promote and sell designated beer brands, and aim to hit daily sales targets while maintaining a friendly environment.

No prior beer-promo experience is required as training is provided; you should be able to stand for the full shift in an open-air setting and communicate with diverse customers, including basic English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in English and Chinese or local dialects with coffee shop patrons.
• Confident, outgoing, and good at talking to people.
• Prior beer-promotion experience is a plus, but training will be provided.
• Able to stand and walk in an open-air environment for the full shift.
• Responsible and punctual, able to handle intoxicated customers tactfully.

Responsibilities

• Approach customers to promote, pitch, and sell designated beer brands.
• Serve drinks and pour beer for customers while maintaining a friendly attitude.
• Meet daily and monthly bottle sales targets to earn higher commissions.
• Ensure beers are well-chilled and coordinate with the drink stall to replenish stock.
• Help clear empty bottles and glasses from tables to keep the area tidy.

About the role

Beer Promoter role based in various coffee shops (Kopitiams) across Singapore. Working time from 4:00 PM, 5 to 6 hours daily, 6 days a week including weekends and public holidays. The role involves promoting and selling designated beer brands to customers in a social environment.

Key responsibilities

• Approach customers to promote, pitch, and sell designated beer brands
• Serve drinks and pour beer for customers while maintaining a friendly, polite attitude
• Meet daily and monthly bottle sales targets to earn higher commissions
• Ensure beers are well-chilled and coordinate with the drink stall to replenish stock
• Help clear empty beer bottles and glasses from tables to keep the area tidy

About you

• Ability to speak basic English, Chinese or local dialects (Hokkien/Cantonese) to communicate effectively with coffee shop patrons
• Confident, outgoing, and good at talking to people
• Prior experience in beer promotion is a plus, but training will be provided
• Able to stand and walk around an open-air (non-aircon) environment for the full shift
• Responsible, punctual, and able to handle difficult or intoxicated customers tactfully
