Job summary

SMC Industrial Pte Ltd is seeking a senior professional to oversee the lithium‑ion battery (LIB) recycling process and ensure recovery goals are achieved. The role requires leadership to coordinate with production, engineering and other divisions while implementing regulatory best practices.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage safety in dismantling procedures, and handle ad‑hoc management tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the lithium-ion battery industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact with Chinese-speaking stakeholders and floor workers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the entire LIB recycling process to meet recycling goals.
• Stay updated on regulations and implement process improvements.
• Ensure safe dismantling and optimize production processes for high recovery yield.
• Lead and collaborate with other divisions to achieve recycling targets.

• Oversees and manage the entire LIB recycling process to ensure recycling goals are met and achieve;
• Stay abreast on the regulation and implement improvement/ best practices in the battery recycling operation/ process;
• Fully understood the characteristics of various LIB chemistry to ensure safe dismantling procedures, production processes of materials, adjust on-site equipment, to achieve high recovery yield and quality control of the produced black powder, and other outputs.
• Possess strong leadership skills to direct and collaborate effectively with other divisions to achieve recycling goals
• Encourage an environment of continuous improvement
• Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management

Job Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the lithium-ion battery industry
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office
• Able to communicate with Chinese stakeholders and production floor workers
