Job summary

WILD CHEESE PTE. LTD. is hiring a barista to prepare beverages, greet customers, take orders, and provide knowledgeable recommendations. You will handle cash and operate the POS while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

The role requires familiarity with coffee methods, espresso equipment, and a focus on cleanliness and safety. Weekend and early shift availability is appreciated in a busy cafe environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, and espresso equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service with a welcoming attitude.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; basic math for cash handling; willingness for early mornings, weekends, or holidays.
• Food safety or hygiene certification may be required depending on local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Beverage preparation: grind coffee beans, pull espresso shots, steam and texture milk, and craft specialty drinks.
• Customer service: greet guests, take orders, explain menu, offer recommendations, and handle feedback.
• Cash handling: process cash, card, and digital payments accurately through the POS.
• Equipment maintenance: operate, dial in, clean, and perform routine maintenance on espresso machines, grinders, and brewers.
• Cleanliness and stock: maintain a tidy bar/dining area, wash utensils, restock inventory, and follow health and safety regulations.
