SUMMARY:
We’re looking for an experienced and creative Bar Manager with a strong background in mixology, bar program development, and team leadership. You’ll take full ownership of the bar operations — from concept, curation, and costing to training and workflow optimization — ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations & Quality Control
- Train and mentor bar and service staff on preparation, presentation, and service standards to maintain brand quality.
- Design and streamline bar workflows and processes to ensure consistency, speed, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee inventory management, stock control, and wastage tracking.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and licensing requirements.
- Be hands‑on during operations when required, leading by example during busy shifts.
Operations Management
- Source and manage suppliers, negotiate pricing, and ensure consistent availability of quality ingredients and equipment.
- Perform cost analysis and beverage costing to ensure profitability while maintaining high‑quality standards.
- Collaborate with management on bar‑related promotions, events, and menu updates.
Collaboration & Menu Development
- Curate and develop an innovative and well‑balanced bar menu, featuring signature cocktails, classics, and seasonal specials.
- Create detailed SOPs, recipes, and pictorial guides for staff training and quality control.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 4–6 years of bar management or senior mixology experience in a casual or premium casual restaurant/bar environment.
- Proven track record in mixology and beverage curation, with strong creative and technical skills.
- Deep understanding of bar workflow design, costing, and operational efficiency.
- Skilled in training, motivating, and developing a team to deliver consistent quality.
- Strong product knowledge across spirits, coffee, and non‑alcoholic beverages.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership abilities.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
