Job summary

Elephant Grounds Singapore, part of the award-winning brand, is seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to support bakery operations for the new flagship outlet and deliver high-quality, seasonal bakery items that enhance the café experience. You will assist in preparing sourdough, croissants, and pastries, work under the Head Baker, maintain cleanliness and safety, and contribute to R&D trials.

Flexible hours including weekends are required; minimum 2 years bakery experience and Food Safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of bakery or pastry experience, preferably in a café or bakery.
• Knowledge of artisanal bread and pastries; exposure to viennoiserie is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions closely.
• Food Safety Certification required.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing sourdough, croissants, and pastries.
• Support daily production under Head Baker.
• Ensure consistency in product quality and presentation.
• Follow recipes and maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.
• Assist in R&D trials and seasonal bakery items when required.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker to support the bakery operations of our new flagship outlet to contribute to the brand’s commitment, in delivery high-quality, seasonal, and visually appealing bakery items that enhance the full café experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing baked goods including sourdough, croissants, and pastries.
• Support daily production for Elephant Grounds Singapore under guidance of Head Baker.
• Ensure consistency in product quality and presentation.
• Follow recipes and maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.
• Assist in R&D trials and seasonal bakery items when required.
• Learn and improve baking techniques through training and practice.

Job Requirement

• Minimum 2 years of experience in bakery or pastry productions, preferably in a café or bakery setting.
• Knowledge of artisanal bread and pastries; exposure to viennoiserie is an advantage
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions closely.
• Passion for baking, attention to detail, and strong work ethic.
• Food Safety Certification required.
• Ability to work flexible hours/shift, including weekends and public holidays.
