Job summary

WANCO MANPOWER PTE LTD is seeking a Backend Technician for a 12-month renewable contract in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore. You will perform maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration of backend semiconductor equipment, working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires Nitec/Diploma in engineering or a technical field, with hands-on experience in semiconductor backend processes and equipment such as VITROX Scanner, ICOS or MicroVision being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum Nitec or Diploma in Engineering or Technical discipline.
• Experience in backend semiconductor inspection/test preferred.
• Hands-on with VITROX Scanner, ICOS or MicroVision advantageous.
• Experience in electronics/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Able to troubleshoot independently and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, conversion and repair of backend equipment.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and calibration to ensure reliability.
• Support equipment troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to maintain performance.
• Support backend semiconductor inspection/test processes and related equipment.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Assist other engineering and maintenance duties as assigned.

Position: Backend Technician (12-month Contract, Renewable)

Location: Ang Mo Kio

Working Hours: 12-hour shift pattern

Job Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, conversion, and repair of semiconductor backend equipment.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and calibration to ensure equipment reliability.
• Support equipment troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.
• Work closely with engineers and production teams to maintain equipment performance.
• Support backend semiconductor inspection/test processes and related equipment activities.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Support other engineering and maintenance duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum Nitec or Diploma in any Engineering or Technical discipline .
• Experience in backend semiconductor inspection/test processes is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with VITROX Scanner, ICOS, or MicroVision equipment is an advantage.
• Experience in an electronics or semiconductor manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Able to work independently and troubleshoot equipment-related issues.
• Basic troubleshooting skills and willingness to learn.
