Job summary

MSI GLOBAL PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a motivated Software Engineer (Backend Development) to join our Back Office Development Team in Singapore. Fresh graduates and up to 5 years of experience are welcome as you work on high-volume enterprise applications for our AFC platform, spanning SDLC from design to deployment.

The role involves building RESTful APIs, database-driven services, and system integrations while contributing to CI/CD pipelines, code quality, and cloud migration initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; 1–5 years of experience encouraged to apply.
• Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with REST APIs and SQL databases.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix or Windows environments is advantageous.
• Good communication and willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise backend services.
• Develop and enhance RESTful APIs and data-driven applications.
• Write clean, maintainable Java code following best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in applications and integrations.
• Support SIT, UAT, production deployment, and post-deployment activities.
• Perform database development, optimization, and SQL tuning.
• Contribute to automated testing, performance testing, and QA activities.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Git and Jenkins.
• Prepare technical documentation including design and deployment docs.
• Participate in software modernization, microservices, and cloud migration efforts.
