Job summary

Apple seeks a skilled Java backend developer for its Identity Management group. You will help build and maintain security-focused platforms that scale to billions of users, delivering reliable authentication and access management.

You will design APIs, optimize databases, and collaborate with engineers across teams to ensure performance, security, and robust deployments on cloud-based infrastructures including Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
Strong fundamentals in computer science.
Experience with Java server-side development.

Responsibilities

Designing, coding, and maintaining robust backend logic using Core Java, Java EE, and frameworks like Spring Boot, Hibernate, or Play.
Designing, testing, and documenting RESTful APIs for backend/frontend integration.
Designing database schemas and writing optimized queries for SQL/NoSQL databases.
Ensuring system reliability, performance, and security of identity management platforms.
Writing clean, testable code and deploying applications with CI/CD and containers like Docker/Kubernetes.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure availability and reliability of platforms.
