Job summary

Omnilojo is seeking a Backend Engineer to lead the design and implementation of scalable game server systems in Singapore. You will own core server components, optimize performance, and drive reliability for long‑term live operations.

The role requires 3+ years of server-side development in games, strong Java and Linux expertise, and a solid grasp of concurrency and networking. Mandarin communication is a plus for regional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of server-side development experience in the game industry.
• Strong Java skills with understanding of JVM internals and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in Linux environments.
• Solid understanding of concurrency (multi-threading, multi-process, async messaging/queues).
• Experience with socket/network programming and databases (Redis, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
• Strong ownership, clear communication, and ability to solve complex problems independently.
• Strong English communication skills; Mandarin helpful for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture design of game server systems and module breakdown.
• Build and maintain core server features with refactoring and improvements.
• Drive performance, networking, and data optimizations for stability and scalability.
• Solve bottlenecks and implement core server logic.
• Build internal tools to improve development and iteration efficiency.
• Write and maintain technical documentation to support long-term productivity.
