Job summary

Talent-Merge is seeking a skilled Backend Engineer in Singapore to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. You will build distributed microservices, connect multiple systems, and manage both relational and NoSQL databases to ensure data integrity.

You will implement secure coding practices, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with frontend, data teams, and business stakeholders to deliver robust technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Backend software development experience with enterprise-grade apps.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Node.js, or Java.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend integrations.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with secure coding and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Design and implement microservices and distributed architectures.
• Develop integrations connecting systems, devices, and data sources.
• Manage relational and NoSQL databases, including schema design and data integrity.
• Develop data processing, transformation, and analytics services.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability for reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve backend and production issues.
• Ensure authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.
• Collaborate with frontend, data teams, and stakeholders to translate requirements.
