Job summary

TikTok Shop in Singapore is looking for a software engineering intern to join our team. You will architect and develop scalable services, optimise backend systems, and collaborate with product managers to deliver features in a fast-moving, globally distributed environment.

During the internship you’ll gain hands-on experience in data security, distributed systems, and mobile/web application development while working with mentors and attending development workshops and social events.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master's degree in CS or SE.
• Strong programming capabilities with clean code style.
• Familiarity with Go, Python, Java or C++.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, networking and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop efficient, scalable, secure services.
• Optimize backend systems for security, modularity, and performance.
• Analyze requirements to solve challenging problems.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and business owners to deliver requirements on time.
