Job summary

ByteDance is hiring for an expert in distributed systems to advance our Kubernetes-based orchestration, scheduling, and resource management across global data centers. You will shape training/runtime perfo rmance for ultra-large models and collaborate with platform teams to improve reliability and scalability.

The role requires hands-on coding in Golang or Python, experience with multi-tenant distributed systems, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS, Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in Golang or Python with strong coding skills.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and multi-tenant architectures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; good communication and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and extend distributed orchestration frameworks within Kubernetes/Godel ecosystem.
• Optimize resource utilization with load balancing, auto-scaling, and scheduling across multi-datacenters and multi-clouds.
• Build training and online inference architectures for ultra-large models; improve diagnosability and usability of distributed systems.
