Job summary

Activate is a technology consultancy based in Singapore, seeking a backend engineer for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will design, build, and maintain server-side logic, APIs, and data stores powering the COMPASS platform, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.

You will collaborate with frontend, data teams, and stakeholders to deliver robust backend solutions, implement microservices, and optimize integrations with upstream and downstream systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in backend software development and building enterprise-grade applications.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices, and backend integration services.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including query optimization and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain server-side logic, databases, and APIs powering the COMPASS platform.
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and integration components.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices in backend systems.
