Job summary

Rapsys Technologies Pte Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a Backend Developer to rewrite batch jobs.

You will analyse legacy scripts, reverse-engineer processing logic, and progressively convert batch jobs across modules into a modern framework while preserving functional parity with the originals. You will implement unit and regression tests for each rewritten job and support integration with the modernised PTMS application, using Java or C# on the backend.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of backend development experience.
• Experience with batch job frameworks and scheduled processing systems.
• Ability to analyse and reverse-engineer legacy scripts.
• Proficiency in Java or C# (or equivalent).

Key responsibilities include analysing and reverse-engineering existing legacy batch scripts to understand processing logic and dependencies, sequentially rewriting batch jobs across CGS, Communications, Reports, and Processing modules into a modern framework, ensuring functional parity between legacy and rewritten jobs, implementing unit and regression tests for each rewritten batch job, and supporting integration with the modernised PTMS application.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in backend development
• Experience with batch job frameworks and scheduled processing systems
• Ability to analyse and reverse-engineer legacy scripts
• Proficiency in Java, C#, or equivalent modern backend language
• Experience with unit and regression testing for batch workloads
