Job summary

FPT Asia Pacific is seeking an experienced Backend Developer to modernise legacy batch processing systems. The role focuses on analysing and rewriting approximately 49 legacy batch scripts into a modern backend framework, ensuring functional accuracy and seamless integration with existing applications.

You will work on reverse-engineering scripts and building robust batch processing across multiple modules, with a strong emphasis on unit testing and regression testing to guarantee reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in backend software development.
• Experience with batch processing frameworks and scheduled job systems.
• Ability to analyse and reverse-engineer legacy scripts.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, or equivalent backend languages.
• Experience developing and maintaining backend processing applications.
• Knowledge of unit testing and regression testing for batch workloads.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and reverse-engineer legacy batch scripts and processing logic.
• Rewrite legacy batch jobs into a modern backend framework.
• Modernise batch processing across modules: CGS, Communications, Reports, Processing.
• Identify and resolve dependencies between legacy and modernised systems.
• Ensure rewritten batch jobs maintain functional equivalence with existing processes.
• Develop and execute unit tests and regression tests.
• Support integration of modernised batch jobs with the application.
• Troubleshoot and resolve batch processing issues.
