Job summary

The NETS Group is a leading payments services group delivering digital payments across merchants, consumers and banks in Singapore. We seek an experienced backend engineer to develop and integrate international payment gateway systems, migrate to Base24-eps, and ensure scalable, secure services.

You will work with cross-functional teams, align with PCI-DSS standards, and optimize switching platforms for performance and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of backend development experience with payment systems and switching platforms.
• Strong experience with Linux (RHEL) and AWS Cloud.
• Proficiency in C++, Korn Shell Script, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Base24-eps and IBM MQ is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project requirements and contribute to functional and technical designs.
• Develop backend systems for international payment gateway integrations (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, UPI).
• Support migration and implementation to Base24-eps on Linux RHEL or Cloud, replacing legacy systems.
• Collaborate with QA, frontend, and business stakeholders to deliver robust solutions.
• Work with vendors, schemes and banks under guidance of technical leads.
• Develop solutions in accordance with PCI-DSS and card scheme requirements.
• Optimize performance and reliability of switching systems and backend services.

The NETS Group is a leading payments services group, enabling digital payments for merchants, consumers and banks across the entire payments value chain.

The Group operates Singapore’s national debit scheme enabling customers of DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB to make payments using their ATM cards or mobile devices at more than 130,000 acceptance points in the country as well as online payments.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in analyzing project requirements and contribute to functional and technical designs.
• Development of backend systems for international payment gateway integrations (e.g. Visa, Mastercard, Amex, UPI).
• Support migration and implementation to Base24-eps on Linux RHEL or Cloud, replacing legacy systems.

Requirments:

• Strong experience with Open System RHEL and AWS Cloud.
• Experience in C++, Korn Shell Script and Linux-based development.
• Experience with IBM MQ middleware will be advantages.
• Experience with Base24-eps will be advantages.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database.
