Activate Interactive Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a senior Software Engineer to turn ambiguous ideas into production-ready web products. You will own end-to-end development across frontend, backend, APIs, cloud, and CI/CD, collaborating with product managers, designers and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.

The role requires 7+ years of hands-on software engineering, strong Node.js expertise, and a track record building web systems end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with recent production code.
• Strong, recent Node.js experience and familiarity with the Node.js ecosystem.
• Proven experience building a web system end-to-end - including frontend, backend, databases, APIs, infrastructure and deployment.
• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows and product delivery.

What will you do?

What are we looking for?

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with recent experience actively writing and shipping production code.
• Strong, recent Node.js experience and familiarity with the modern Node.js ecosystem.
• Proven experience building a web system end-to-end - including frontend, backend, databases, APIs, infrastructure and deployment.
• Strong understanding of modern web architecture, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and software engineering practices.
• Comfortable working independently in ambiguous problem spaces and making sound technical decisions.

• Startup, innovation-team or fast-moving product experience, with a strong bias for action and delivery.
• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows, including AI coding agents, code generation or automated code review.
• Track record of taking a product from idea or prototype through to production.
• Experience working in cross-functional agile product teams with product managers and designers.

You take an ambiguous problem, work with the team to determine what matters, and quickly turn it into a working product that can be put in front of real users. You favour learning through delivery and iteration while maintaining the engineering discipline needed for products to grow beyond the initial experiment.
