The role emphasizes IaC with Terraform, enterprise networking, and cloud security, delivering automated, secure foundations for data and analytics initiatives across the organization. Strong Linux/Windows scripting, DevOps, and governance are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Azure cloud experience focusing on platform engineering and automation.
• Expert-level IaC with Terraform, ARM/Bicep.
• Advanced networking with Private Links, Hub-and-Spoke, Azure Firewall.
• Experience provisioning Azure Synapse, Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Databricks, and AzureML.
• Automation scripting: PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python.
• CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Azure certifications AZ-305 or AZ-104; Terraform Associate preferred.
• Troubleshooting and performance tuning for infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Architect and provision data infrastructure on Azure including Synapse, Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, and Databricks.
• Automate lifecycle with Terraform; manage state in Azure Storage with locking.
• Design enterprise networking: hub-and-spoke, Virtual WAN, Azure Firewall; use Private Endpoints and NSGs.
• Manage Entra ID, RBAC, data security policies; configure encryption and Key Vault.
• Harden and provision Azure ML workspaces and compute clusters; support private OpenAI integrations.
• Collaborate with Data teams to implement CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Monitor health with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics; set alerts.
• Troubleshoot escalations in networking, SLA, IAM within data platform.
• Cost management: autoscaling, right-sizing, shutdown schedules.
• Design BC/DR and high availability strategies; maintain runbooks and docs.
