Job summary

Unison Group seeks an experienced AI Developer to design and build AI agents, generative AI solutions, and intelligent automation for advanced manufacturing. You will work with PhD-level domain experts to map workflows into scalable AI-based solutions using the Azure AI ecosystem.

The role requires strong Python programming, hands-on Azure AI experience (OpenAI, Foundry, ML, Cognitive Services), and proven ability to deliver LLM-driven automation, RAG pipelines, and tool-calling workflows in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related field.
• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure AI ecosystem, including: Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry / Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI agents and end-to-end Generative AI solutions for complex manufacturing and technical use cases.
• Collaborate with domain experts, engineers, and researchers to translate business challenges into AI-driven solutions.
• Analyze, document, and map complex technical processes into structured AI workflows and intelligent automation systems.
• Build and integrate solutions using Azure AI services, including Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Foundry, Azure Machine Learning, and Azure Cognitive Services.
• Develop LLM-powered applications, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, AI agents, tool-calling workflows, and knowledge-based automation systems.
• Design prompt engineering strategies and optimize AI model performance.
• Develop orchestration workflows using AI frameworks and agent-based architectures.
• Deploy, monitor, maintain, and optimize AI solutions in production environments.
• Implement security, governance, monitoring, and responsible AI practices.
• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams for AI solution deployment and lifecycle management.
